Ugly Day!!

I'm having an ugly day today. Its a day when you cant even bear (or is it bare?) to look in a mirror cos you feel so utterly repulsive. You also feel totally unloveable as well.

Am I the only one who has these days?

Cassie update

Cassie has had an operation to remove part of her kidney and also to remove spots from her lung. The doctors didnt manage to get all the spots so she is now on chemo. Poor little love.

Its a horrible world at times

Sometimes I hate this world. A couple of years ago my sisters friend lost her little boy Leo to cancer. He was 3 years old. Yesterday my mums goddaughter Cassie was found to have a cancerous tumour on her kidney and 2 spots on her lung. She is 10 years old.

We are all in utter shock. The doctors have informed Cassies parents that they are gonna have to do tests on their other daughter as well incase its an hereditary cancer. Cassie is now in The Royal Marsden Hospital after having an emergency operation on her kidney. Shes going to have to undergo chemotherapy before they know if they need to remove the kidney altogether. Poor little girl. Its just so very unfair!!!!

Ouch!

A rather large lump has appeared on my forehead above my right eye. Said eye has swollen and if I was painted green, I could pass for Herman Munster! It seems a mosquito has bitten me and I have had a nasty reaction to it. Rob is due here on Friday so I am not happy!

Went shopping today with my little brother and charming as ever, he said 'Dont worry Donna, I'll still love you matter how disfigured you are by mosquito bites' I do love that boy lmao!!

Sad

I've never been a boyband fan, although I will say I like Take That now theyve grown up but I have to admit to feeling very very sad over the death of Stephen Gately. Such a sad shame that this talented young man has gone.

I also wonder how many of my 'friends' are indeed friends considering I hardly hear from anyone anymore. I didnt realise that Facebook was the only way for people to get in contact!

I obviously have fewer friends than I thought!

Big Boy!

Today was Lelands first morning at Nursery school. He will be going 2 mornings a week from now on. My sister has rarely let him out of her sight since having him, so it was a really big day for both of them.

He LOVED it!

I knew he would cos hes a very cheerful, happy little boy. The only upset was when he had to leave. He didnt want to of course and there were a few tears.

I love all the kids, my little brother, 2 nieces and LeeLee equally but I have to admit that LeeLee is the one who has made me incredibly broody. I know it sounds odd but he actually makes my heart ache. He really is an absolutely smashing little kid.

A child story

My sister told me this on Friday..

My sister was walking her daughters to school on Friday morning. They got to the main road, which they have to cross, and a nice man in a pick up truck with his lurcher dog in the passenger seat stopped to let them across. My sister waved her thanks and hurried the kids to the other side. Once safely over my smallest niece Hannah, who is six, looked at her mum and said ....

Rob is home!!!!

Apparently it wasnt MRSA but a dislodged bone that his body was trying to expel. Hes had his operation and is now home recuperating :)

Here we go again

Robs been admitted to hospital with his leg again. Hes told me not to worry about this coming weekend as he wont be up too much anyway. I'd like to punch the lady who ran into him 5 years ago and smashed his leg. My poor darling :(

Sorry

I'm sorry I havent blogged for ages but to be honest I forgot lol.

Rob is due here next weekend but his bad leg is hurting and he doesnt think he can travel with it the way it is. We are both scared its the MRSA again. I am also worried because I know him and hes stubborn enough to come even if he isnt 100%.

I have a friend driving up to Manchester on the weekend and shes virtually offered to take me as well. Thing is shes only staying overnight and I cant see the point in that at all. I looked into staying a bit longer and travelling home on my own but the prices are just ridiculous!!! Its nearly the same price for a single journey as it is for a return. What is that all about???

There is also the problem of my travelling .... again. I cant just take off and go. I need to prepare myself for any long journeys I take. Its easy for people to say dont think about it and just go but it doesnt work like that. Luckily for me Rob understands and isnt gonna be upset or annoyed if I cant go. I am so lucky to have him!!!!

Mum update

Sorry but I forgot to blog!

No news on my mum yet. Shes waiting for an appointment for a scan. She phoned the hospital yesterday enquiring about it and they knew nothing about it!! She had to phone 3 different departments, all of which didnt know anything about her either. What a complete joke!!

She is feeling better than she did and has managed to go out alone today to see a friend. Her appetite is also slightly better. I just wish the hospital would get their finger out and find out whats the matter with her!!!

Worried

My mum isnt well. Shes had a bloated feeling in her stomach for nearly 2 weeks. She cant eat and has trouble laying down. Shes been to the doctors countless times and her GP said it was a grumbling appendix. Well last night my mum was taken to hospital cos she was in agony. They kept her in overnight and let her do home today. They still dont know whats the matter with her!!! Why have they sent her home when shes in pain and no one knows whats wrong?? I am absolutely furious and worried to death!!!! Apparently they are gonna make an appointment for her to have a scan. They should have done it there and then!!

I got talking to an old school friend on Facebook earlier. I'd not spoken to her for years and was really pleased to hear from her. Well at first I was anyway .....

Why do some woman judge men by the amount of money they earn or what car they have? All she kept on about was how much money her fella had and what he had bought her as presents. I found it very distasteful. Not once did she mention what HE was like or how he treated her. It was all money money money. I couldnt give a shit what a blokes financial position was. As long as he treated me well and I liked him then I would be happy. I just dont get it ...... I am odd for feeling this way?

Gawd

I look and feel rough as hell. This period (sorry fellas for girlie talk) is the period from hell. I have horrendous cramps and the pain is knackering. I wanna sleep all the time and for the past couple of days Ive not got up until 11am. Problem is that this means I dont go to sleep at night. Thank god there is always someone awake on Paltalk or Facebook to talk to!

A year!

Today I have been in my flat for a year! I cant believe how quickly thats gone by.

I went food shopping at Morrisons today and had a slight panic attack in there. It was absolutely packed and was a bit much for me. Our Morrisons is having an overhaul which includes making the aisles narrower. This of course means everyone is crowded together. Not nice!! The fact that no one could go out for 2 days cos of the snow would explain the mass of people but why, for heavens sake, do they need to stock up for what looked like a month?
