Is Pub Quiz on its way out?

I dont really venture into AOL pub quiz much these days. I decided to have a break just over a year and a half ago after being ill (some will remember this from my old blog and the reasons behind it). I miss some of my friends but luckily most of them are on Facebook so I can keep in touch that way.

Anyhow, I mainly quiz on Paltalk now and have found some great people on there. Today, however I decided to go and visit Pub Quiz for a change. It took me 15 minutes to get into a room (there were only 2 open) and when I finally got in there was no quiz! Infact I waited and there wasnt a quiz for over an hour. When I first joined AOL back in 2001, there were usually about 8 rooms open every night and quizzes in each if them. Most of the time people got on and it was a huge laugh. What has happened?

How very bored I am? I really need to get a hobby!!

Weekend

Well famous last words .... my nieces decided not to fall asleep until after midnight. Then I was woken at 6.30am on Sunday by youngest niece saying she'd had 'a little nightmare'. She hadnt of course, she just wanted to get in with me! Well so much for a Sunday lie in lol cos once I'm awake I can never get back to sleep. I laid there for an hour listening to the little madame snoring before deciding to get up and check my facebook.

My brother in law came at 11am with Leland to pick us up cos I was having Sunday dinner with them all. Roast Lamb!!!! My sister gave me the biggest dinner I have ever seen and that, plus the wine we had as well totally ruined me for the rest of the day. This wasnt great considering we were expected at my mothers for the afternoon. I successfully managed not to fall asleep but I could barely move off the couch lol.

Hurray its the Weekend

Thank god its Friday!

Its been a total nothing week for me really. I have got my Sex and the City DVDs of course but I'm limiting myself there so I dont go into Sex and the City overkill.

My nieces are staying over on Saturday night and I cant wait. They are such good girls and we always have a great time together. We intend to watch DVDs as late as possible but knowing them it'll be until about 10pm. They are only 8 and 6 after all.

Oh, and on Sunday Rob and I celebrate a year together. How time has flown!! :-)

Yes!!!

Today I bought the complete box set of Sex and the City. Do not expect any sense outta me for at least a week whilst I watch all 19 DVDs woohoooooooooooo!!!!!!

Arghhhhhhh

I was ill again yesterday. This time with sickness and diarrhoea. No idea what caused it but the moment I stood up out of bed in the morning, I had to rush to the bathroom. I am so fed up with being ill. And no, I am not pregnant!!!

I am also annoyed cos it meant another day of missing out on my hatchlings on Facebook. I am way behind in my egg hunting and I am not amused that I cant find the Manatee egg!! Mands very kindly sent me the Gecko/Lizard one when I was ill, bless her xx

End of an era

Rob and I witnessed the final day of Woolworths in Hastings on Saturday. He brought me the Best of the Stereophonics, Decade in the Sun album in there and as we got to the counter to pay there was an announcement to say everything was 90% reduced. It cost £1.97.

I am so sad about Woollies. It has been in the same place for as long as I have been alive and a trip into the town centre didn't feel right unless we'd visited the store. I was a bit down so Rob and I had a wander along the seafront, heading towards Hastings Old Town. We visited antique shops and looked at the old houses. We then wandered back into the town centre just in time to see the manager locking the main doors at Woolworths for the last time. No one seemed to notice except us. Its sad that a store like that should close with no ceremony and ignored by all of those around.

Rob was here for the weekend and now hes gone home again. I miss him already and am sad!!
