I am sorry to say my mind has been on other things hence the lack of blogging lately.
I spent last weekend up North visiting with Rob and his parents (who are just lovely), and meeting his brother and his family, including new baby James.
It was a fab weekend. Arrived Thursday evening, absolutely exhausted so just crashed. The next day however, Rob took me to Liverpool. What a fantastic place! Saw The Cavern and the Liver Building and visited Albert Dock. We got back to Warrington and were invited out to dinner and a few drinks with Robs friend Colin. A perfect end to a wonderful day!!
Saturday came and spent the morning mooching about having a lazy start waiting for the afternoon. We then caught the train into Manchester. There we met up with Sally and made our way through the masses of people to the Moon Under Water pub. We hadnt been there any time at all when Debs and her hubby John arrived with their friend Lee. A little later on and another of their friends, Brendan arrived too. It was so great to see them all. I have to admit to feeling quite tearful at the time lol. We had a good old chat and time just ran away from us and before long Sally had to leave :(
We had something to eat and decided to move on. Brendan left and the rest of us caught a cab to Canal Street. What a wonderful place!! Fairy lights in the trees and the women were butcher than the men lol. We visited a few clubs and pubs until it was time for the last train. I was sad to say goodbye but happy to have seen them as well.
Sunday was spent with Robs family. I really liked them all and I even got to hold the new baby. We left early evening and decided to go to a Wetherspoons pub for dinner. It was lovely and I had roast lamb whilst Rob had half a roast chicken!!!
I came home Monday and spent most the next day in bed recovering lol
